About Francisco Jiménez

Founding Member

I am specialised in the regulatory evaluation of food products in Latin America. I trained as food technologist in the Universidad de Oriente and I studied Research and Development Projects Management in the Universidad Central de Venezuela. I am former Venezuelan Technical Representative at the National Commission of Foods and have represented the country in Mercosur meetings on the harmonisation of food regulation.

Currently, I have been working as an advisor for companies in the field of foods, dietary supplements, and raw materials that require a guide regarding the sanitary requirements to commercialize their products in the different markets of Latin America. Also, I follow the harmonisation processes within the region, with focus on Mercosur, SIECA, CARICOM and the Pacific Alliance.
