On 7 January, the National Institute of Viticulture (INV) of Argentina issued Resolution N° 26/2021 to approve the new rules for the wine labelling.


In summary, this introduces changes in the way the logo ?Vino Argentino Bebida Nacional? is displayed on the wine labels. It is worth mentioning that Resolution N° RESOL-2020-20-APN-INV#MAGYP stated that the logo could be provided through a QR code, but now wine labels must bear this logo (see the imagen below) or the equivalent authorised statements. This provision also applies to export wines.


In addition, the new rules also foresee the mandatory labelling pictogram to alert about the risk of alcohol consumption during pregnancy published during 2021 (see the image below). 



??This is already enforced, and repealed Resolution N° RESOL-2020-20-APN-INV#MAGYP from 2020. Those labels already printed according to the previous rules may be authorized by INV while stocks last.
