On 13 July, the National Food Commission (CONAL) opened a consultation period for a Draft Resolution proposing to include the use of seed, oil seed, flour and protein from industrial hemp in the Argentine Food Code (CAA).
Some highlight from the draft:
Comments on the draft shall be sent until 12 August 2023.
Although, there is a proposal seeking to introduce foods containing cannabidiol (CBD) in CAA (food supplements, for example), this discussion is still on the table since the National Food Institute said that there is no conclusive evidence, then it needs to be further analysed.
