On 14 December, the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) launched two new panels in the food area. One is intended for the consultation of food additives. The other to consult processing aids.
These tools have been developed based on the current regulations applicable to food additives therefore, it does not introduce changes on food additives and processing aids but rather helps companies by facilitating the identification of substances, conditions of use, technological functions and maximum permitted limits.
It is worth remembering that ANVISA already implemented a specific tool for those enzymes already approved as processing aids.
