????The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) launched a document of Questions and Answers on vegetable oils and fats used in food. 

 

This is a non-regulatory document, but helps companies  in the application and interpretation of the new applicable regulation for oils and fats, Resolution RDC N° 481/2021 and Normative Instruction IN N° 87/2021.

 

The document addresses 51 common questions from the food industry about vegetable oils and fats and the requirements for modified and blended vegetable oils and fats. 


Additionally, it clarifies the implementation schedule for the new rules for oils and fats.
