On 18 May Costa Rica notified to WTO the international public consultation of a proposal for the Costa Rican Technical Regulation (RTCR) N° 506: 2022. Sauces and like products. Mayonnaise. Specifications. 

 

The proposal would establish the technical specifications to be met by mayonnaise, whether produced domestically or imported for human consumption. 

 

This proposal came from the SIECA trade bloc, which is composed of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua y Panamá, thus if approved this rule will be adopted by those countries. 

Comments will be received until 18 July.
