The Costa Rican government published Law No. 10113 "Law on cannabis for medicinal and therapeutic use and hemp for food and industrial use".

This would approve both domestic production and imports of products containing industrial hemp.

According to the text, the raw material must contain a maximum of 1% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). However, it is still awaiting the regulation of the Law to know the maximum levels allowed in the final product, as well as the specific conditions for the use of this ingredient in food and food supplements.
