The Ministry of Health shared the Draft Sanitary Standard for manufacturing, fraction and storage of table olive (Olea europea L). If approved, this would be the first version on the regulation. 

In summary, the draft proposes: 

• Definition for table olives and their types (black and green)
• specific good manufacturing processes (GMP) for these products 
• Provisions on food safety (microbiological criteria and contaminants)
• Mandatory sanitary certificate on General Principles of Hygene (GPH) for stablishment covered by this regulation

According to the public consultation shared in the Official Gazette, comments are received till 20 March, and this would be the final version of the draft that would be issued soon.
